BESPOKE CAKES

 

CAKE SIZE & PRICING

All of our cakes are customised. There is no set price list as pricing is dependant on size (diameter and height), finishing and complexity of design. As a general guide:

Single tier

  • $250 - $400

  • smallest size serves 28 coffee

Two tiers

  • $450 - $700

  • smallest size serves 40 coffee

Three tiers

  • from $750

  • smallest size serves 80 coffee/150 canapé

Four tiers

  • from $1,200

  • smallest size serves 165 coffee/300 canapé

Portion guide:

  • Coffee - 1 x 1 x 3”

  • Canape - 1 x 1 x 1.5”

The portion guide is approximate only - the number of servings may vary depending on the way the venue serves the cake or the way the cake is cut. For weddings with a plated dessert, we recommend canapé portions as a good guide for cake size.

BOOKING PROCESS

Step 1: Get in touch!

Most of our work and consultation is done via email, so please get in touch via hello@alcakemy.com or by using our online form. Photos are very helpful in the design process, so please feel free to send these through. Photos of cakes by other designers will be used as inspiration, however please note that we do not directly copy. 

Step 2: Quote

Once we receive your enquiry, we will confirm availability and provide general pricing and size options. We will also use this opportunity to ask any further clarification questions.

A cake brief/formal quote is then provided for your review.

Step 3: Booking

Once you have accepted a quote, a 25% non-refundable deposit will be required within 7 days to secure your booking, with full payment due 4 weeks prior to your event. For bookings made with less than one month notice, or with a value of $300 or less, full payment will be required.

We do not make tentative bookings. Bookings are only confirmed once a formal quote received and deposit paid.

CAKE tastings

Cake tasting packs are available on a quarterly basis depending on our schedule. Cake tastings are not complimentary nor are they mandatory.

Our cake tasting packs contain 8 flavours and each cake is paired with a complimenting buttercream flavour.
